Family Photos
Taking copies of photographs from my childhood family photo albums and my mother's small archive of images of her life and loved ones in her home country, I piece together what it means to have both cultural disjunction within a household while at the same time experiencing love and connection that transcends borders.

Repressed Memories
This series involves three undisclosed photographs from my personal life that I burned, sanded, and painted over with acrylic inks, india ink, and, sometimes, gesso. These works are an exploration of the layers and erosion involved with memories, and the beauty and cruelty of nostalgia.
